1. Service Overview & System Requirements

Sideprobe is a native desktop copilot application for macOS that assists founders, product managers, and researchers during customer discovery and research interviews. It tracks loaded discussion briefs in real time, provides in-call cue prompts, and generates post-meeting summaries locally.

System requirements: Sideprobe requires macOS 14.2 or later running on Apple Silicon or supported Intel Macs. You are responsible for ensuring your hardware and operating system meet the minimum technical requirements.

2. Early Access & Commercial Licensing

Private Alpha: Sideprobe is currently offered in Private Alpha. During the alpha phase, authorized users receive complimentary access via invitation and promotional coupon codes.

Commercial Purchases: When commercial sales open, Sideprobe is sold under one-time perpetual license terms or designated plans. Every valid license grants you full access to all features and standard product updates.

Fulfillment & Delivery: Upon completing an order or redeeming an invitation, your license key and digital download instructions are delivered immediately via email.

3. License Scope & Permitted Use

Subject to these terms, Sideprobe grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software on Mac computers that you own and operate.

You agree not to:

• Share, distribute, resell, lease, or sub-license your license key to third parties.
• Decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code of the proprietary components, except as permitted by applicable law.
• Use the software for any unlawful, deceptive, or abusive purposes.

4. Audio Recording Compliance & Participant Consent

Sideprobe captures microphone and system audio to provide real-time transcription and conversation coaching. Wiretapping and audio recording laws vary significantly across jurisdictions (including one-party and all-party consent laws).

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of Sideprobe complies with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, including obtaining any required consents from call participants prior to recording or transcribing live conversations.

5. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership

You retain 100% ownership and intellectual property rights over all interview briefs, audio recordings, transcripts, meeting notes, and summaries created or processed with Sideprobe. Sideprobe asserts zero ownership or claim over your data.

All intellectual property rights in the Sideprobe software, branding, logos, website, and proprietary algorithms remain the exclusive property of Sideprobe and its creators.

6. Refund Policy & Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all commercial purchases. If you are not satisfied with Sideprobe, you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing hello@sideprobe.ai. Full details are set forth in our Refund Policy.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Sideprobe is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We do not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, bug-free, or compatible with all third-party software updates.

Sideprobe is an assistive tool to support your interview practice; you remain solely responsible for the conduct, outcomes, and business decisions derived from your conversations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Sideprobe, its founders, or contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of business, or lost profits.

Our total cumulative liability arising out of or related to these terms or the software shall not exceed the amount actually paid by you for the license.

9. Termination & Revocation

We reserve the right to revoke your license key and terminate access if you violate any provision of these Terms of Service. Upon termination, your right to use the software ceases immediately.
